@uk Talking about aggregated solar production or nameplate installed capacity isn’t very useful with a JIT grid. IMO we are misapplying all these renewables to greening the grid. There are much better uses for those renewable electrons which totally sidestep the intermittency dilemma. For example green steel is 2x more effective use from a climate optimization lens.
